SAN FRANCISCO — With the holidays just around the corner, California Wines is kicking off the holiday season with 31 days of festive recipes — all paired with Golden State wines. Each day in December, California Wines will post a new recipe link and wine pairing on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for followers to share and enjoy throughout the season. The Holiday Recipe Countdown begins on Dec. 1 and runs through New Year’s Eve.
Featured recipes, inspired by California wine country, including ones from our partners, will include seasonal delights such as:
- Apple, Bacon & Toma Cheese Stacks, a deliciously simple appetizer from California Grown, layered with California Fuji apples, mild farmer cheese and a drizzle of hot honey — perfect with California Pinot Noir;
- Smashed Green Olive and Pistachio Burrata Bruschetta from Aida Mollenkamp of Salt & Wind Travel, a bright and citrusy companion for California Chardonnay;
- The Girl and the Fig Olive Relish from Discover California Wines, a terrific pairing for lighter-style California red wines like Grenache; and
