Ibiza, June 10th, 2021.

Marina Ibiza, reassumed its position as host in charge of receiving the participants of the 5th Edition of the APD Crossing Regatta, in addition to participating with its own boat in the crossing from Mallorca to Ibiza. This fifth edition has been very special after having been cancelled last year. It has been the meeting point between many of the participants from different parts of Spain who have gathered to participate in the event over the years.

Marina Ibiza received in its exclusive facilities the 10 boats and around 100 participants in this fifth edition of the regatta, after a crossing with a constant wind of between ten and fourteen knots, which allowed the boats to sail at good speed to the finish line.

The crossing regatta that started in Mallorca at 11.00 am had the finish line located in front of the island of Tagomago, which the boat of Marina Ibiza was the first to cross at 4.44 pm.

Upon arrival at the marina, all participants were invited by Javier Cid, Marina Ibiza’s port captain, to dine at the Calma Restaurant, where the crews were arriving throughout the afternoon / night. The evening was characterized by the reunions between participants and the thrill of sailing again and enjoying the sea, where there was no lack of laughter and anecdotes until midnight.

This fifth edition was concluded the next day with a breakfast for all the participants on the terrace of the Calma Restaurant and subsequent awards ceremony by Daniel Marí, Manager of Marina Ibiza, delighted to be able to give the second prize to his team of Marina Ibiza .

We share the result of this fifth edition:

3. Puerto Portals

4. Veritas Dolç

5. Mapfre

6. Bacchus Noveno

7. Rebelezza

8. Vopsa

The Atlant del Vent, winner of the 5th Edition, received a € 3,000 award from the La Caixa Foundation to deliver to an NGO, this time it was for APFEM (Asociación Pitiusa Pro Salud Mental). The second prize for the most “ecofriendly” boat of the event went to Bacchus Noveno for carrying out the regatta in the most sustainable way possible, without starting the boat’s engine until it arrived at port, carrying out a correct recycling on board and using solar panels to supply their energy, following the Wave Of Change of the regatta.

The APD Crossing Regatta has become a meeting point between friends who year after year enjoy a day at sea to network in a fun way. This regatta has become an important date in the calendar of all the participants thanks to the good atmosphere that is generated and of which Marina Ibiza is grateful to be a part as host port
