REFURBISHED ROD LAVER ARENA  REVEALED AHEAD OF AUSTRALIAN OPEN

Melbourne & Olympic Parks (M&OP) has today announced the completion of Rod Laver Arena’s eastern-facing entrance and new food and beverage facilities.

Rod Laver Arena, the heart and centre court of the Australian Open, has debuted its brand-new three level “pod-style” guest entrance – which is set to welcome more than 700,000 tennis fans to the Australian Open tournament commencing 14 January 2019.

  • Rod Laver Arena opened in 1988 as a purpose-built home for the Australian Open and has since become one of the busiest venues in the world.
  • Located on the edge of Melbourne’s CBD, M&OP offers world-class event experiences across its Rod Laver Arena, AAMI Park, Margaret Court Arena and Melbourne Arena precincts. In 2022, M&OP will welcome a state-of-the-art conference centre, joining its impressive list of arenas, stadium and venues – with bookings available from early 2019.
