france-show-2011If you’re passionate about French wine there is no need to wait until your next visit to France to restock your wine cellar – The France Show 2011 serves up a wine lover’s dream as it brings an array of France’s finest wines to the UK at Earls Court, London from 14 – 16 January.

As well as featuring the finest in French food, shopping, travel, culture and property, the show will offer access to a selection of some of France’s best vineyards, giving visitors the chance to sample and purchase from a fantastic range of fine wines.

Those thirsty for greater knowledge can take part in the SeaFrance Wine Tasting Theatres. Each day starts with a pop and a fizz with a tutored champagne tasting in the Tour de France Theatre, delivered by Sopexa on behalf of the French Ministry of Agriculture. Featuring champagnes from boutique owner grower, Champagne Bourdaire-Gallois, visitors will get the chance to enjoy its full range of champagnes, including: Brut Tradition (2007); Brut Rose; Brut Decoree Reserve (2006); Brut Symphonie Prestige (2006); Brut Blanc de Blancs (2005) and Brut Millisime (2004). What better way to kick off your day at The France Show?

Hosted by Susy Atkins, award-winning writer and broadcaster, the remaining sessions within the Tour de France Theatre will take visitors on an exciting tour of France in a relaxed and fun environment as Susy explores and explains the distinctive characters and flavours of wines from different regions. These sessions are designed to equip visitors with the knowledge to choose wine with confidence – whether in a restaurant, specialist shop or supermarket.

Susy comments: “French wines will always be among the most treasured in the world, for the sheer range of styles produced from so many key regions, and for the subtle complexity, elegance and sophistication of the best examples. There will be something for every wine lover at The France Show“.
