As one of Europe’s fastest expanding economic centres during the era of rapid expansion, Dublin’s (pop. 1.6 million) commercial and creative energy matched the vibrancy of its everyday life and hospitality. But if anything, the place is even more interesting in a time of marked economic adjustment, for within the modern development there is an old town where many meandering stories have interacted and combined to create today’s busy riverside and coastal metropolis. Through a wide variety of circumstances, it has become an entertaining place suited to the civilised enjoyment of life in the 21st Century. And part of the fascination of the place is found in Dubliners’ response to changed circumstances, for their city has known good times and bad.

| If You ever decide to come to Tallinn, to visit the Old Town and all the endless sights around, You’ll find this review useful. Tallinn is a small Baltic city with strong ties to Finland . It is a City of contrasts essentially a medieval city, Talli nn (known his torically as Reval) has gathered legends of and around itself. Even the name of the City has been changed during the centuries.
Beyond the city there is much to explore and all within a very compact country, only only 230 km (140 miles) from north to south.
The name derives from Taani Linn (Danish fortress) which was mainly used during the late medieval age. Even older is the German name for Tallinn, Reval, which again derives from the name for the province of Rävala.
Before that, the place - at that time not yet a town - was known as Lindanise or in Russian as Kolyvan respectively.
The medieval walled town is a must-see, and is normally teeming with Ryanair, Easyjet and Finnish tourists…but what if you've already seen it?

| INTRODUCTION
Someone once described Riga as "the Window of the Baltic." It is certainly a very pleasant window and much may be seen from it. Whatever the time of the year, it will be Riga – the largest Baltic city, which offers the most… The city, often referred to as the "Paris of the North", is well-known for its architectural and cultural values and rapidly developing economics.
