Taj Mahal Palace & Tower Since it opened in 1903, the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Mumbai has created its own unique history. From Maharajas and Princes to various Kings, Pesidents, CEOs and Entertainers, the Taj Mahal has played the perfect host, supportive of their every need.

Built in 1903, the hotel is an architectural marvel and brings together Moorish, Oriental and Florentine styles. Offering panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and the Gateway of India, the hotel is a gracious landmark of the city of Mumbai, showcasing contemporary Indian influences along with beautiful vaulted alabaster ceilings, onyx columns, graceful archways, hand-woven silk carpets, crystal chandeliers, a magnificent art collection, an eclectic collection of furniture, and a dramatic cantilever stairway.

Over the past century, The Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Mumbai has amassed a diverse collection of paintings and works of art and is a veritable showcase of artifacts and art of the era. Masala Kraft
Blending aromatic Indian spices with modern cooking techniques, “Masala Kraft” produces fl avours that are fresh and delicious. With a selection of traditional Indian favourites cooked in minimal oil and with just the right blend of spices, the restaurant shows that the two go together perfectly. Favourites include Paperwali Machli, Parsee or Bohri Tiffi ns, Masala Sketches – interactive menus and Spiced Margaritas.

Golden Dragon
The first authentic Sichuan restaurant in India, this perennial favourite offers dim sums for lunch. The sumptuous dishes are designed to please any gastronomic palate. Specialties include Peking duck, Beijing Spare-ribs and Wo-thib Asparagus. The restaurant also offers two Private Dining Rooms.

The Zodiac Grill
Recipient of the prestigious Wine Spectator – Award of Excellence, the “Zodiac Grill” creates an unforgettable ambience that perfectly complements its creative French cuisine and unrivalled service. The Zodiac fine dining experience begins with the magical ambience cast by a star-spangled dome to the glowing candlelit tables and specially designed tableware from the House of Bernardaud.

Harbour Bar
This historical bar is India’s fi rst licensed bar. It has played host to legendary business leaders, celebrities and society’s crème de la crème. The bar collection features classics such as Blue Martini and Stinger Martini as well as Rare Whiskey, Cognacs and Cuban cigars. The bar also features an extensive selection of sparkling wines and champagne including Veuve Cliquot Ponsardin, La Grande 95, and Dom Pérignon. Speciality dishes include platters of sushi, sashimi and maki rolls.

La Patisserie
The city’s best-known pastry shop, offering a wide variety of cold cuts, sausages, pizzas, fresh breads, pastries, chocolates, sandwiches and more. Ask for their signature items: customised gift hampers, picnic baskets, sugar – free chocolates and desserts, fine selection of Swiss, French and Danish cheese.

Sea Lounge
The legendary “Sea Lounge” overlooks the scenic Mumbai harbour and the Gateway of India. Perfect for a private rendezvous or informal business meeting, this restaurant has been a backdrop for cherished memories for the crème de la crème of society. From Bombay chaats to crepes and coffee the “Sea Lounge” offers an eclectic spread.

Shamiana
Another historic part of the hotel, “Shamiana” is an all day dining restaurant. Guests can select from a wide variety of choices from Indian and International cuisines. “Shamiana” also offers an extensive wine list. The restaurant offers private dining areas and tables overlooking the poolside.

Souk
This award-winning restaurant introduces fresh fl avours of dishes from Iran, Turkey, Lebanon, Egypt, Greece and Morocco. The signature dishes include Babaganoush, Sheesh Taouk, Moroccan Vegetarian Tagine, Bakhlava, rose petal ice-cream, and Bastilla au lait. In addition to its private dining options like the Casablanca on weekdays, “Souk” offers the option of a relaxing, yet quick lunch with a gourmet buffet spread.

Starboard Bar
A popular bar nightspot, “Starboard” offers the city’s fi nest selection of cocktails coupled with European and Cuban fusion snacks. A live band strums up your favourite music and adds to the lively atmosphere.

Wasabi By Morimoto
“Wasabi” by Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto featured in the prestigious Condé Nast Traveller “Hot Tables List 2005”. The restaurant offers the finest Japanese Sakes and Sushi Bar. A dramatic interactive Tepanyaki counter, with separate grills for vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine offers set menus and chef’s sampler menus.
